Content Editor

Make changes to the content in the element (area) of the page by using the Content Editor. This Content Editor is known as a WYSIWYG editor which stands for What You See Is What You Get. It functions very much like a word processor. One of the best ways to learn about this editor is trial and error. If you end up with a complete mess on your hands, just click the Discard Changes button and start again.

The toolbars above and below the content element include icon buttons and dropdown menus that you click to perform common tasks (e.g. make text bold, apply color, build tables, etc.). To identify what the button does, roll your cursor over it and a text field will open with the button's name. Please consult the chart below for a more detailed explanation of what each button does.

  • Click Save Changes when you are finished making changes.
  • Discard Changes will bring you to the previous page without saving the changes.
  • The Upload Image, Upload File and Upload Media buttons allow you to add assets to your website. Click one of these buttons to open a corresponding asset manager where you can upload and insert the selected image, file or media.
    • Important Notes Regarding Image, File and Media Files:
      • Be certain you have edited the asset to be the size you want prior to uploading.
      • The Image, File or Media will be inserted in the cursor position. Be certain your cursor is in the location on the page you would like the asset located prior to clicking the Insert button.
