Add Folder - Advanced Options

Advanced Options allow you to customize the folder properties. Click Save to add the folder.

Folder Name
This is the name for the folder that you will see in LoudClick.

Make a Sub Folder Of
Select a previously created folder from the dropdown menu. This will make the new folder a sub folder of the original folder. Root means create the folder off the base of the website.

Address
This is the web address for the folder. However, since the folder is just a "holder" for pages, you cannot directly browse to the Folder Address. When a page is created in the folder, you can directly browse to that page's address. We suggest you leave the address as the system creates it.

Display in Navigation
Select Yes if you would like the folder to display in the navigation menu.
Select No if you do not.

Make this folder secure
Select Yes if you would like to secure who can view the pages within this folder.
Select No if you would like anyone to view the pages within this folder.

When Yes is selected, the Who Can View the Pages Within This Folder selections will display. Select the Groups or individual Users who can view the pages within this folder. All others will not be able to view the pages - they will receive a secured page warning.

Check the box next to Apply this security to all pages added to this folder if you want the same security settings to apply to all the pages added to this folder.

Folder Display Page     Watch Tutorial
When a folder is created a display page is automatically created as well. This page displays links to the other pages in the folder and acts as the main navigation within this folder.

Select in what order you want the pages to display on this display page. Choose from:

  • Alphabetical
  • Creation Date (Newest to Oldest)
  • Creation Date (Oldest to Newest)

You can also add information about the pages to display with the links:

  • Page Description (the meta description for the page will display)
  • Folders within this folder
Remember to click Save when you are done.
